Flecks of ice froze hard in the heavens. They tumbled, spiraled down from the blackening sky. How it rolled that sky, clouds over and upon each other whilst their mating cry rumbled and shook all the mountains below. With its black cape a-billowing Winter hacked its path down the cracked mountain slate and whilst it crept the rock came to life. Under the thunder the great troll bellows rolled, the beasts so dumb roaring their fury in competition with the skies above as through the forests flitted shadows. Talons and claws were sharpened and bone was scraped against the towering evergreens, hidden under branches deep. Through the darkness Orlynn glinted - the bare embers of a great fire-guardian, half buried into the endless North.
